To Every Women that MUST BE Loved and Respected

No sooner did it clock 00:00Hrs tonight than I started receiving messages after messages about women’s day. It is all over the place. It is on WhatsApp Groups, Facebook walls, emails, text messages, blogs and where not? One witty message actually said, “Dear Men, although every day is a women’s day it’s an International Women’s day today. Take care.” (This means you are likely to suffer little more than any other normal day)

No matter what, I must appreciate the poetic expedition of some and the creative adventure of others. Everybody is trying to show their love and respect to women, at least by words and images. Some are only forwarding because they want to be ahead of others and some want to show that they are aware of the day. In a way, this is a good wave. This is so required in the world where we live. We live in the world where every opinion and counter-opinion holds true in given circumstances. We have gotten in to a habit of saying, ‘something can be true for me but not for others’. Relativity takes front seat and absolute values are thrown out side of the window. Is this what has happened when it comes to absolute worth of a woman too?

Why am I saying all this? I am not trying to be feminist. Feminism is too hard. I am saying this because Women’s Day is like all other things we have embraced without any question and without understanding its gravity and thinking about the impact it has on our own lives and that of others’. Do we even know why we need International Women’s Day? Do we really need it in the first place? Have we even understood who the WOMAN is? I guess we haven’t. Because if we say that we have understood then a Telugu actor and MLA N Balakrishna would not make statements like he made few days ago.

I read it this morning and I started to think about this actor’s wife. I don’t know how she has reacted to this. Is this what she wants to hear her husband say in public? Worst yet, does she really want him to do what he is doing? I don’t know her answer. If she agrees with him then is that the women we are fighting for on this International Women’s Day. And if she doesn’t, this man has shown utter disrespect to her and to the womanhood as a whole.

He has released an apology, after a police complaint was lodged. Balakrishna needs to understand that life is real, it's not filmy. In fact, he is the one who shot at a producer in his house and police questioned his wife because the gun that was carelessly (or for a purpose?) used was licensed under his wife’s name, and he says, "He respect all women". I think he forgot to add, 'conditions apply' in his statement. That is what I mean when I say relativism takes the front seat.

Are we really thinking about women around us? I think there is more to the Women’s Day than just wishes and forwarded messages. I am sure many of us have liked posts without reading them and forwarded messages without really understanding. We cannot just say Happy Women’s Day to a woman and think of her as a second grade citizen at the same time. We cannot talk of women's dignity in public and harass them in private.

If you are someone who is going to forget about her womanhood tomorrow and thrash her, abuse her for some silly things may I suggest to you? Please do not wish her today for the sake of the day. Stop being hypocritical. Otherwise take a pledge that you are going to (absolutely) respect and (absolutely) love her under all circumstances. Unless men change, women's position will always be a big question.

Happy Women’s Day!

Every generation is smarter than the previous

I often look at people and observe their talents and way of thinking. Sometimes I am stunned by the amount of knowledge they have and sometimes by the lack of it.

Recently I visited a family and I met a little girl (age 12) and I love her for what she is. This little girl told me that she had been to a doctor and he had her X-ray done and told that there is a problem with her paranasal sinuses and that is why she has the problems that she has. I stood there, wondering, how on earth these kids get all that? Not more than a decade ago average adult did not even know what sinus was. These kids know a lot more than many adults in their 30s.

When it was said in early 90's that world of information will be available on the handheld devices and that even TV would be a part of your phone, I thought that statement was little too exaggerated. So phonny (funny), I am posting this article from my phone.

So much information we have at hand. Kids are learning at a pace humanity had hardly imagined they would. They are being served (or bombarded?) with so much knowledge and they learn to play with words at very early age. No wonder approximately every day 15 words are being added to English language alone. Thanks to young minds. They learn to use and abuse all that is offered and we can see this generation is smarter(you decide +ve or -ve) than ours. In fact every generation is smarter than the previous.

What are we actually doing to them and what are we doing to ourselves? The Bible says many shall run to and fro and the knowledge shall increase. I remember few years back while doing small survey about our education system I had read that more than 70 % of engineers that produce every year are not fit to be hired. Its time that we wake up and teach the next generation to be wise and not just to accumulate so called 'Knowledge'. "Sell everything and buy Wisdom! Forage for Understanding! Don't forget one word! Don't deviate an inch!", says Proverbs 4:5

India has lost an "Amanat"

In the morning I turned my phone on and I saw, on Facebook, my friends posted about the 23 year old daughter of India passing away, media called her ‘Amanat’. I could not help myself but started crying shaken by this lost life. I did not know her. I haven’t seen her. No matter how hard I try to put all my senses together and mix it with all possible extraordinary knowledge I will not be able to understand what this girl has gone through. With all my heart and head put together I will still be at my best and understand just a fraction of her misery.

If someone asks me ‘what do you think you would do to such criminals?’ my heart will say forgive them and give them a chance to restore but my mind might say hang them. I am neither a High Court Judge nor a Messiah but as conscious human I understand one thing, this is immorality at its peak, murder of the system a million times plus one and the whole society at stake.

Newspaper, TV and social networks are hammering the issue day and night. The objective behind it is to find out “Whose fault it is?”

Is it the fault of the society that talks about the animal rights and treats human as animals? Or the society that is close to dogs in their houses but turns a blind eye to the hungry at their gate? Is government to be blamed by the citizens? Or government has a right to blame the nation? Is the western influence at fault or is there a fault in our own culture? Does it really matter to get into all of that and make a display of our own nakedness to the world? Or is it all right to bring it to the streets?

I think the solution lies with each one of us. Can we stand up and try to influence at least one man to put himself in the shoes of his mother, wife, sister or daughter and feel what they feel? Can we influence at least one woman to think and act in a way that she will not fall prey to any nonsense?

All the ladies reading this, to all the mothers, sisters, daughters here; I want you to know that you are precious, I value you for what God has made you and I respect you for who you are.

I have been reading and hearing about Amanat’s incidence and not surprised for the reactions of people all over. In fact I welcome them and congratulate all of those who are out there on streets. It is for the first time India has seen something like this and I pray it will bring a significant change. I am hopeful, very optimistic and eager to see what India is going to do. I really want to see a better January-2013 and better yet December.

Have you asked Right Questions to Life? If you did you would have had all the right answers on you

While talking to my brother the other day I realized something we all are often mistaken at. He shared a story about a sister. In her story filled with lot of encouragement and faith there was this unusual contradiction that confuses herself and the listeners alike. While going through all the challenges and overcoming them faithfully she had this question that troubled her all the time, "Why me God?"

I hear this question repeatedly and it comes from all the age groups. In fact, off late I hear it little more than in past. Well, don't we tend to ask this question ourselves at times? And my immediate natural response to this question is, "Tell me one reason why not you?" Honestly, I cannot recollect where and how I found this thought but it really makes a great deal of sense to me. It humbles me and tells me that I am just like every other person sharing this planet with me and I am bound to experience the consequences of all the actions and attitudes as much as all of my fellow travelers do.

This and many other questions that they feel are unanswered forever. Man feels left alone without any solution to his inner ache and in his search for the answer he is lost in a hopeless endeavor until (and even after) he settles for compromised situations.

Once a photographer friend of mine asked me a question, "What do you do to understand what your client wants from you?" I was very quick, "I just throw right questions at them", I said. One of the keys that I consider very important as an artist is that whether I ask right questions before putting my hands to actual work.

I think this principle applies to life in general. Most of the time we go on asking wrong questions to life and often we wonder why there is no relevant answer in place. Have you asked Right Questions to Life? If you did you would have had all the right answers on you.

Pictures Inspire

Normally I do not sit in front of the television with the intention to watch programs or movies. A couple of days back I happened to watch few parts of some of the TV serials, absolutely ACCIDENTALLY.

In Hindi cinema and TV serials there was a time when the story revolved around a person or two. Almost always this person was an upright character with a very positive attitude and helping others around him and that made them a Hero or a Heroine of the play. We had at least handful stories that inspired us, fed our minds and helped us think wisely and many of us learnt lessons through them.

Today the picture is completely different. People have changed the ways they made movies and so did movies as far as making a change in people is concerned.

After reading reviews on few such serials I found out that most of them feature more of the cruel and cunning characters being dominant over others and simple ones suffering all the time. Casts are being awarded for their efforts to bring these issues of old times on the screen is if they were never known to the world and production houses are making money by wasting the time of the women sitting in our homes.

If we dig a little dipper and try to find out the reason behind this then we will come up with one thing that will say, “We need something new, we need change”. They say change is good. I hardly see it around. I see bad things changing to worse and good things slowly disappear. In this fast changing world we are so busy entertaining our hearts that we forget all old good things that were once close to that same heart. In the whole process of these changing pictures in front of our eyes we end up changing our mind frame every next moment.

We are not sure whether our kids will come back in the evening with the same mind frame that they left the house in the morning. Kids are not sure what will change their dad’s mind next moment. Wives are afraid about the fluctuating thoughts of their husbands and husbands are no more shocked by wives’ every other forgotten decision.

Fast paced picturesque world is responsible to this at large. They are making more movies, more serials, more reality shows, more news these days and more channels coming up to air them. Last decade must have produced more of it than all of them produced in the history put together. Obliviously it has a bigger impact too; at least the viewership data says so.

King David said, “I will set nothing wicked before my eyes”. I am sure he knew, ‘whatever I see affects my thoughts and then my actions and my living’.

Can I be little sensible to think what is placed before mine eyes and be careful about how it inspires me?

It really depends on what I see. Oh! The pictures inspire me.

In India thousands of hours are wasted in front of the idiot box or in cinema halls and pondering over uncountable useless things after watching it. Do I have to explain what the outcome is?

Anyway, You are all mine.

I always have a lot to speak
no time to listen, almost
But it's me who complains
there is nobody that hears

I'll better keep my mouth shut
and listen to what you want to say
I may not be able to give you anything
Just happy, if I could at least share your pain

How wonderful will it be
if I realize difficulties you are going through
I know that may not be possible
because my understanding, still to grow

Are there many in the world
who may take me to count on?
Can I be that shoulder
they may cry, relax and rest upon?

Oh Lord! Grant their desires, answer prayers
and make them truly happy
I may not even ask for anything more
Anyway, You are all mine.
Anyway, You are all mine.

Hearing hearts has nothing to do with iPODs

I have noticed it many times before and I see it everyday around me. This time I was on the way back to Pune from Kolhapur the other day. I was traveling on a bus and everyone in the bus who was in reach of my sight was on phone for most of the time throughout the journey. These days while walking or traveling on road I see that eight persons out of 10 are either on phone or plugged in with some other audio device, even if they have somebody walking with them. My point of disappointment here is that 'most of the time we are not with the people mentally whom we are walking physically with'.

I remember those two weeks in the year 2007 when I had given up using mobile phone because it(the mobile) was busy half the hours I was awake in a day. Thank God, I realized it then that I was spending more time on phone than with real people.

Music is not bad, talking to loved ones is great, passing time while traveling is necessary but why has mobile phone replaced beautiful people is something I find hard to accept. I love kids and like to spend time with them as much as possible. These days I have seen children playing more with my phone or laptop than they would like to spend time with me. It is frustrating! I am sure many of you have noticed that. Is it because gadgets are probably more attractive than real people? or is it because real people are too boring to spend a lot of time with? I do not know the answer either. But I have come across the real problem, I guess.

I have heard many young people telling me that they need to spend time on movies or on their iPODs because they need to refresh themselves. They are tired. They are bored. They are lonely. They are uncomfortable, they say. They are lost and suffering, I say. Children have stopped talking openly to parents long back. Parents have stopped asking what their kids are up to? No one of us have time to listen to others and we cannot even recollect when was the time that we learned there is nobody to listen to us. We have no time to hear and even if somebody stands with us pouring out their heart, our heart is not in the same place there. It's a pathetic situation of all of us.

It is a sad fact that we have no time to share and we have no time to listen. Try giving some time to hear somebody and you will enjoy the satisfactions in their eyes. Shall we encourage someone to speak? Shall we listen to unheard voices? Shall we discover unspoken words? Shall we hear speaking hearts? Believe me, hearing hearts has nothing to do with iPODs.

Note: I have used iPOD as a generic word for music players and other gadgets that we may get addicted to.

Problem of Being Right

My heart moved in pain when I read the story of a Chinese boy that sold his kidney to buy an iPad2.

Just a 17 year boy did something I cannot even imagine that someone can actually go to such extent. What is it that made him do that? Curiosity? Covetousness? Greed? Was he mislead? Was he foolish? Childness? Or something else you may imagine?

Many times it is impossible to tell what exactly drew somebody to their decision to take certain action. Most of the arguments, I think, are a result of one single problem and it’s when both the parties try to prove they are correct. I call it a “Problem of Being Right”.

Dr. Ravi Zacharias asks a question in his book, Recapture the Wonder. Have you ever been absolutely certain that you placed something somewhere only to discover later that it was never there at all? It happens to us quite often. I tend to blame somebody else for misplacing something that I have lost. Even then I say, “I AM RIGHT”. They are the times I deliberately overlook the mistake I have made and jump in the “Problem of being Right”. Whenever there is an argument at least one party must be wrong in a given situation. There cannot be two opposite truths. Why then everyone thinks he is right. Have you ever been in the “Problem of Being Right”?

One young man came to the Master and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?” He asked him to follow God’s commandments. The man said I have been doing it all my life. Then the teacher said, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.

We always want things to happen the way we want. We want to hear that pleases us. The young man went away, he thought he was right. When he sold the kidney, the Chinese boy, thought he was right.

King David said, “Who can notice every mistake? Forgive my hidden faults, Lord.” I should take care that I am not making the same mistake of portraying myself right or correct. At least when I am not, perhaps. If I fail to learn from my “Problem of Being Right” nobody can save me from the possible miseries ahead of it.

Right from early school days we are often asked to write on our hobbies. Our hobbies reflect our character. Habits, many times, explain what is a particular person more inclined to or what is he less interested in. People know you by what you pay attention to and what are the things that you just don't want to get into.

You may be somebody who jumps in the discussion if they are talking about cricket, soccer, tennis or any other sports you may like. And they know that you follow sports. If you don't give in for the discussion they say you are not interested. You may be someone who likes to talk about politics of your country. There are people who will sit with you for a long time if you are talking about movies. There are people who like to share thoughts with you if you are a reader. There are people that stop to listen to jokes. There are people that like to take part in office gossips. There are people that are sweet spoken, there are people that abuse. There are people who are helpful, there are people who just misuse. Some are childish others proud. Some are intelligent others seem foolish. Some care and some simply neglect. Some like certain food and others don't. The list is big. I have mentioned very few here.

One instance in my family last year made me aware of the fact that people still think that 'I may get angry very easily'. In fact this was my nature. My habit. My character. As a teenager I used to get angry quickly and that earned me an image of a short-tempered person. It will be useless to go and tell everyone every time that I am not angry on them unless my response to the situation shows that. They judge me by my response.

So, it is crucial for me to know how I respond to different things every day. My repetitive response to certain situations or things becomes my habit. Ovid says, "Habits change into character". Now, it is even more important to give some time to think about those habits and their effects. They are my KRAs. My Key Response Areas. My response talks about my temperament. My response talks about my understanding. My response tells who I am. My Key Response Areas are something that needs my attention. And they are what shape the man inside me.

One of my friends and I were talking about the characteristics of the people from different countries of the world. One thing that strikes me most was that he said, “I like to read faces but I have noticed that it’s very hard to read people from certain parts of the world because they have very mixed emotions or rather they do not express themselves easily to others”.

As a human being we all have mastered the art of putting on faces. People learn it and do it by their experience to achieve something and we say they are diplomatic. Some do it deliberately to mislead others is what we may call a shrewd. Large number of people in one group commonly found everywhere is that who do it because they do not want others to know their short comings and want to portray themselves more than what they are, though not all the time but definitely some times. Now, have you just said to yourself? “This is me, probably”. I wouldn't want to call you a name. :)

Many philosophers, spiritual teachers and motivational speakers have talked enough about this and many are still doing that. For us the irony in learning is that we fail to apply the truth in life in spite of the fact that we have perfectly understood everything.

When I sit down every evening and ask myself, “Anil, did you try to pretend to be something that you are not in order to just please someone?” I proudly answer, “NO” but I am scared what if I haven’t known. What if I haven’t known that I did pretend?

Now read this carefully because when you look around next time you are sure to get astonished.

Today when I think about the attitudes that we carry my heart is troubled. Abusing and accusing has become our habit. Cheating is fashion. While we talk all sorts of good things about others doubts override and trusting becomes an utter joke. We act against our own nature so often. We change faces now and then. So many different faces we have and we try to figure out who we are. Isn’t every person a Face-book himself? An album that contains different faces of THE SAME person again and again on every single page?

It is so wonderfully written: ‘The king is the friend of all who are sincere and speak with kindness.’ Proverbs 22:11

If my heart stays sincere and my speech is kind I am offered a friendship of the king. If we all do that we all can be the common friends of the king sitting at his table in a grand fellowship each one of us with only one true face. Oh! It’s so wonderful.

It is not that there is no one trustworthy for anything at all. We are made in God’s image and He is trustworthy. Even a fraction of His trustworthiness in us can do wonders in this world. So, go ahead. Try something good for somebody and feel the difference that others find it difficult to feel. God has kept wonderful people around you and he loves them. Jump high, make merry and give glory to God because he has blessed you with huge bunch of good people. He has blessed me with many such.

I was studying about the gifts of God to man. And I was wondering how people use these gifts, rather misuse these gifts knowingly and unknowingly. And I thought I have to write this down.

In his book 'The One Minute Manager', Kenneth Blanchard says that we are bad managers of time. I think we are bad managers of all our gifts too. We harm ourselves and our surrounding by managing our gifts badly.

I get a chance to interact with so many people at my workplace, in my social meetings, friends, family. Studying people spontaneously has come naturally to me. Every person I meet has some incredible gift in him. Yes, even you who are reading this not an exception to it. In fact I must have even told you about some of your gifts at some point.

Many of us keep running because we are not supposed to stop in the race. Hello…? Will you pause for a movement and ask yourself where am I going? Are you doing exactly what you want to do? Are you doing exactly what you can do? Just ask yourself where am I heading to? What am I supposed to do?

I was talking to a friend the other day and told about one of the qualities that he has which he never thought of. He said, “Oh yes, I know it and I can do that!” So many times we experience the same and we wonder we never knew that. There is so much for me to discover in myself that I would enjoy being amazed to find something everyday.

Let us not waste the treasures in us. You are gifted with unique gifts and you are responsible to nurture, use, multiply and distribute them. What if you have to give an account of it one day. I know we all have to.

Hoplessness to Hope Eternal

One of the most hopeless lives that I had seen in the decade of 1990s was my own life. Yes, hopeless in all the areas.

This decade, 2001-2010 has been a journey from hopelessness to hope eternal. Last 2 decades many of you have seen this change and many of you might not have even noticed that. I am grateful to God for you being a part of my journey. If you are someone whom I have known personally, met somewhere sometime or even just talked to you once then I believe that you have helped me to learn or unlearn something someway. You have been a blessing to me and I thank you for that.

I am entering this decade with a great hope to see God’s plans unfold and am happy to have you with me to share these blessings together.

I wish you a blessed 2011

What is Christmas to me?

For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John3:16
This is a true saying, to be completely accepted and believed: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. I am the worst of them, but God was merciful to me in order that Christ Jesus might show his full patience in dealing with me, the worst of sinners, as an example for all those who would later believe in him and receive eternal life. To the eternal King, immortal and invisible, the only God---to him be honor and glory forever and ever! Amen. 1Timothy1:15-17
It gives me a tremendous joy to know that He was patient in dealing with me even when I rejected His existence and He saved me by His grace.

....become like children, ....enter the Kingdom of heaven

In the morning while I was riding to office I was thinking about a friend and praying for him. Something incredible came to my mind. It’s here:

One evening I was sitting with a family and we got this news that a small boy is in a hospital struggling for life. Everyone was on their knees, praying for this child. All of sudden in the middle of the prayers I heard a shout, “Please Papa; heal him, Papa. You are the healer”. I couldn’t wait and opened my eyes and saw a little girl praying to God, calling him Papa because she was taught that He was her father. I was so moved by that prayer. What compassion! What zeal! What confidence! What purity! And what faith!

It is written, “I assure you that unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the Kingdom of heaven”.

I wanted to cry aloud and scream as I said, “Lord, give me such heart; Oh, Lord!”
That day, once again I was convinced that God even hears simplest of the prayers and answers in His greatness.
Needless to mention, the boy was home the next day.

We have understood how created things work.

As I entered my teen years I found myself surrounded with multitude of questions about life that troubled me day after day and in search of the answers to those questions, I, an atheist came to a conclusion that “I” can rule my life if I make myself rise to a certain level of power within me. Only a fool can think that. Pro 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes.

Having lot of questions about living things in mind I tried to study what people have to say on the life of man. And I learnt that we have knowledge about every creeping thing on the face of this earth. We have studied their behavior. We have studied their anatomy. We tried to trace their origins. We have all these philosophies of life but we don’t have the life giver. We have understood how created things work but we failed to understand their creator.

Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Sadhu Sundar Singh once said, supposing there is a tree full of fruits -- you will have to go and buy or beg the fruits from the owner of the tree. Every day you would have to go for one or two fruits. But if you can make the tree your own property, then all the fruits will be your own.

We spend time thinking about all the things He made; we have no time to give Him. We ask for all the fruits that He has for us; we do not ask for His very presence which is a tree that gives us those fruits.
Phillip Britts quotes Silesius’ writing, in his book ‘The Force Behind Nature’, "It is good to be busy and better to pray, but far better to stand mute and still before your God."
Standing mute and still before God is to tell God, “O God, here I withdraw, you take over.”

Dear Friend, I appreciate you!

I remember something great about a couple I knew few years back. In their conversations the man used tell the woman almost every day, “You are so good!” and the woman religiously answered, “You are better!”

Isn't that a wonderful way to express your love and appreciation?

Many times we find it so hard to say something good about others. An American businesswoman Mary Kay Ash says, “Everyone wants to be appreciated, so if you appreciate someone, don't keep it a secret.”

I learnt two things from Mary Kay’s statement.
1. I need to appreciate people openly
2. I want to be appreciated

I have so many people around me and so many of them have outstanding qualities that need appreciation. But instead of appreciating them I keep pointing to their mistakes which in turn bring blemish on me manifolds, everyday.

So I thought, I will avoid pointing out your mistakes and do not miss a single chance to say something good about you, that you really deserve.

I may sound selfish even here, but that’s ok for it is to help us. Read again the point numbered 2, above.

Do for others what you want them to do for you.

When was the last time you appreciated somebody? You did it today, that’s great. You didn’t? Don’t worry. It’s not late to start it right away.

The fear of the H1N1 is the beginning of Swine-Flu

It's been a long time I last wrote here. I had a busy weekend in Pune as the first week of the month of August-2009 got over. I happened to sit with different groups of people, almost from all the levels of the society. I don’t remember a single group that did not touch the issue of the pandemic that hit the world and created waves in the city that has left the people in panic.

Pune saw the highest sell of masks in the city ever. They even fell short of the supply at one point. Many people are deeply concerned about their health while youngsters at some places are just seen making fun with those masks in the groups and the little ones are too eager to put them on in their natural curiosity even as they don’t understand the fact that many of the masks sold in the city are good for nothing. Without even knowing that those masks are unable to save you from the virus because of their poor quality they are thriving to buy masks for their families.

I was wondering why people are so scared. Did it never happen to you that you were filled with fear for something and at the end you come to know that it was just the fear that encircled you? and Noting happened as you feared to. So why panic?

Media apart from giving the knowledge of the disease gave enough lift to the issue than required. Union health minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said on Sunday that around one-third of the Indian population was likely to get infected with the virus over the next two years, in accordance with WHO predictions. And we immediately put ourselves in the said 33%
What are the safety measures and what is the remedy for the situation? Let us look at the issue as God would see from above. It is written that “the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.”

We are so used to fear the situation around us and fall prey to it. Here it says something about fearing God and the reward of that fear. This is the only fear in the world I have ever experienced that always rewards me positively.

So let us not fear anything else because every other fear creates negative impact on us but the fear of the LORD gives us wisdom to fight all odds. That’s the precaution against all the diseases of any form.

And the remedy is here in Proverbs 3:7-8 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Here it says if you fear the Lord and depart from evil then you will stay away from the diseases.

Dear friends, according to WHO, 168 countries of the world are sufferring from the global pandemic, we cant afford to just wait and see, its time that we repent on behalf of our cities and nations that the Lord makes his promise come true around us by healing our Land. Let us make the path straight and see Him walk in our lives.
Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. Luke 3:4

How hard it is to keep myself me!

Early morning one Sunday when I traveled in the city visiting churches in different parts of the town regarding some promotional activity for a meeting we had planned a week ahead. It has been an opener in one of the churches I entered.

As I entered the building I saw a girl sitting inside the front lobby right opposite the door. I walked by the counter and started talking to a friend about the upcoming event. While I was discussing with the people I noticed that the girl was staring at me with a strange look. I thought I have met her somewhere before. Ignoring her I went on talking with the friends there, as it was important for me for that moment.
On the way back from there I remembered that it was the same girl with whom I fought on a petty issue of the services provided by her telecom company on one of my phones.
Today I was in front of her like a nice, socially responsible person and not the same crazy fellow she met the other day.
I learnt a lesson, this is how we are? Why can’t we see ourselves behave masked off rather than showing our masks which has different colors every single moment…?
It’s hard to just be yourself………every day, isn’t it?

What's Wrong with the WORLD around me?

Last couple of months I have come across few of my friends discussing about the destiny of the life. Some are very positive about it and others have a negative perspective on the subject. But, even when those who think positively about the destiny in life fail to understand what exactly life is asking from them.

Robert Kiyosaki in his best seller “Rich Dad Poor Dad” quotes his Rich Dad saying this:
"If you learn life's lessons, you will do well. If not, life will just continue to push you around. People do two things. Some just let life push them around. Others get angry and push back. But they push back against their boss, or their job, or their husband or wife. They do not know it's life that's pushing."

They do not know it's life that's pushing. The reason we fail to understand life’s push is because we have been already pushing on the objects around is and ignoring what life wants to teach us.

In the present scenario of the busy world around us a child is born, goes to school, gets a job, gets married and brings children in the world to repeat the cycle with an only difference that the newer generation has lesser time to spend with others compared to the previous generation. In all our business we often forget to ask ourselves what am I ultimately living for?

One of my friends asked me a simple, common question the other day, ‘What did we bring and what are we going to take with us?’ –NOTHING
I wasn’t surprised because he asked it but I was surprised to realize that the person he was pointing to when he said that was someone whom he once respected and adored.

I remember talking to a young boy in a small counseling meeting. I asked the boy, “What do you want to do when you grow up?” He quickly answered, “I want to make people feel happy in whatever way I could”. I was impressed but it only gave me a sting of how much this lad was craving for happiness in life. After studying his case I learnt that he was abused in the family.

We changed the basics of living and sharing our lives, We give away costly things burgers, beer, meet and everything but we forget to serve a little love, care and hope with it.

If you know the real goal of your life and you are on the right path you will never stumble anyone because it is then you will have left all your insecurities and worries far behind on the way and that they never come to you again.

We deal with people every day. You gain some and lose many in the process, that’s our business today. We keep an account of wealth gained and spent. We give a very little time to take an account on what we have won and lost in the most important game called Life.

What’s wrong with the world around me? I think I need to change. I will be glad to heal the wounds that I have ever given and take heed not to make the mistake again.
